The Inn on the River is located in the Historic District of Donaldsonville, Louisiana on the corner of Mississippi and Lessard Streets. It is the first hotel in the Historic District since the 1950's.  It will be the only hotel in the area with a restaurant on site.  The 1911 brick building originally housed Netter's Department Store, is home to Gaston's BBQ & Beer.  It is located adjacent to the hotel lobby and is open seven days a week.  Monday thru Saturday 5am to 9am for breakfast, 11am to 8pm and Sunday 5am to 2pm. Donaldsonville is conveniently situated on the west bank of the Mississippi River in the heart of Louisiana's River Road Plantation Country - Oak Alley, Laura, Nottaway, Evergreen and Whitney Plantations are just a few of the beautiful homes in driving distance.
